So the FDA says they will not sell OTC inhalers for asthmatics (WHO BTW NEED OXYGEN TO BREATHE) because the?

Over the counter inhalers use fluorocarbons in the propellant. The manufacturers were given a choice of change formulas or remove them from the shelf. Apparently they made the choice of removing them from the market place. I don't think that this is such a bad thing since they were dangerous and mostly misused. As to the hairsprays and room fresheners they are under the same guideline as the makers of the medications. They are under the magnifying gl and may not use fluorocarbons as propellants in their products. I believe that you are operating under a misunderstanding.
