Why have modern progressives shifted from the economic ideas of such as John Maynard Keynes to near socialism?

Keynes ideas give rise to socialism / communism. Under Keynesian econommics, their is a central bank, a central bank is Karl Marx's 5th plank of communism. The two theories are related.
