G-String on my Fender?

You should buy a good tuner you can plug into that shows you when a string goes out of tune. If your guitar teacher can tune it up good your guitar intonation is probably good. The only other thing is how you are playing may need adjusting. Confer with your teacher before you get too fustrated & give up.
