The Faroe Islands are often labelled as Scandinavian?

The Faroe Islands are often labelled as Scandinavian; but the Faroe Islands are far from Scandinavia, not only geographically but even more so when it comes to religion, moral standards and such a basic thing as humour. While Scandinavia at large today is an atheist, humanist society, the Faroe Islands are a conservative Christian (Lutheran and Presbyterian), deeply traditional society. In this matter we have nothing in common with modern Scandinavia.
