Does the AGW "It's Winter" defence mean that global warming exists only when and where they say?

That it's been very cold for the last few years in many regions does not disprove the notion of global warming on average - - the warming simply isn't "geosynchronous." But by the same token, they can't dismiss the warming 900 years ago on the basis that that warming wasn't "geosynchronous."
