Xbox 360 live problem?

Just today my xbox live stopped working it said it was my mtu. So i went online and changed it to the recommended mtu settings which are 1363 I think. I just found out the problem is the live is down just for today so when i go back on tom do you think it will be messed up because i tryed changing the mtu.
