Outdoorsy cars that run good on gas?

You could use that three grand as a down payment for a brand new hyundai or kia. They run about nine or ten grand starting and the warranty and gas mileage is awesome. If you want used, Chevy cavaliers are pretty efficient and purchasing tires for them are cheap as well. My friend has a Cherokee Laredo and tires cost two hundred a piece! Maybe go with a chevy or ford. Repairs are fairly cheap on those cars. Good luck!
