Best thing for childs fever?

my 5 year old step daughter used to get fevers a lot when she was a bit younger... i have only been in her life for a year and a half, and really, she hasnt gotten one on probably a year... well, her mother took her to NYC on saturday, and it was really really cold, and they werent dressed warmly enough. she came to us on sunday and has had a fever since... she doesnt feel terrible, just feverish... we give her motrin and/or childrens tylanol, but besides that, rest, and a cool towel, are there any other good remedies from you seasoned moms and dads to help rid her of the fever?
