My mark 3.1b GHD have broken so i went to an electrician to get them fixed who said dont buy GHD mark 4s as ?

if you drop the we cannot fix them alot of people have said that there not as good as the mrk 3 is this true ? i also brought the babyliss pro 230 elegance and i can truly say they are better then GHD they straignten hair quicker then GHDs and have 3 settings anybody else thing this?
