Implanon sticks quite far out and in painful to the touch?

i had the implant 2 weeks ago, it was extremely painful as the doctor said the anaesthetic did not go up far enough, as it hurt i jumped and now it seems the implant as it gets further up is very close to the skin. The implant sticks up and is very visible and i am worried that it could be tugged out if my arm was accidently tugged. should i be worried?
