How much is your husband involved with caring/playing with the baby/children?

My husband and I just had our first child, he's almost 9 months old now and I feel that he's not helping out as much with the baby as he should. I would like to know from other moms how your husband interacts with your baby or your children. What are his chores? Does he play with them each day? Does he feed them or change their diapers? Or do you do most of the caring part? And if your husband works fulltime, does he still help in the evenings or mornings? My husband is a freelancer and is home all the time. I love caring for my son and I don't mean this as if I don't want to. I just think that as parents you have to be there for your children equally involved. I do understand that mothers probably do most of the bathing and feeding etc and I see that as a nature instinct of being the mom. I'm just mainly upset that he doesn't even try or show his will in helping out or wanting to play with him. Please advice/help?!
